Mårten is in charge of all technical matters in the office and is one of the project managers for Growing Together. He also works with support cases and takes care of trainees. Mårten is the Data Protection Officer of the European Ombudsman for Children.

This is personal data

Personal data is any information that can be linked to a living person. It can include, for example, name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, social security number, bank account number or picture.

Your rights

You own your personal data. The Ombudsperson borrows it from you. This means that you have certain rights:

  • You have the right to request from us an extract from the register showing how your personal data is processed.
  • You have the right to have your data corrected if it is incorrect, incomplete or misleading.
  • You have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data.
  • In some cases, you have the right to be forgotten.
  • In some cases, you have the right to data portability, i.e. to have your personal data transferred to another controller.

How the Ombudsman for Children handles personal data

Föreningen Barnombudet i Uppsala län is the data controller for all processing of personal data that takes place within the framework of the organisation's activities. When we process your personal data, we comply with GDPR.

This means that we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. We will protect your data in the best possible way.

Below are some examples of how we handle personal data. Detailed information can be found in the privacy policy.

Register of members

When you register as a member, we save your personal data digitally in the Children's Ombudsman's membership register. The personal data is used for membership management, association statistics and information mailings, and is only handled by people at Barnombudet.

As a member, you can request at any time to see what data we have stored and have it amended or deleted. If you want to delete one or more mandatory data, you also cancel your membership.

Support cases

We save personal data in the form of contact details in support cases in order to be able to work on the case and keep in touch with the person who has applied for support. When the case is closed, the data is deleted. The data is only handled by people at the Children's Ombudsman.

Social media

When you participate on social media, personal data is stored in accordance with the terms of use applicable to each social medium.

The Ombudsperson does not save any personal data but can see the data you have chosen to make available.

Customer register

When you shop in the online store, you authorise us to process personal data in accordance with our terms of purchase.

Telephone calls

If you call one of our 018 numbers, or we call you from one of our 018 numbers, your number will be stored in our call log for 120 days. After that, it will be automatically deleted.

If a call is made from or to one of our mobile numbers, you can request that we manually delete the call from the history. We delete the call history every 120 days.

Cookies

Cookies make it easier to use a website.

The information collected is anonymous and does not contain any personal information such as name or email address. Information about visitors cannot be traced by us.
